  5. $14,000 granted to support community in Kelliher and Ituna

[Ituna and Kelliher, SK, Sept. 4, 2026] - Cornerstone becoming the new Conexus Credit Union has granted a total of $14,000 to four organizations in Ituna and Kelliher from the Conexus Community Vitality Fund.

The local recipients are:

  • Country Munchkins Daycare in Kelliher, receiving $3,000 to purchase outdoor equipment.

  • The Ituna and District Curling Club, putting the $4,000 grant towards window and roof replacement.

  • The Ituna Theatre, looking to upgrade its furnace and future theatre seating with the $4,000 donation.

  • The Wish Upon a Star Early Learning Centre in Ituna, who will use their $3,000 donation towards many needs, including a new refrigerator, water heater and backyard learning equipment.

The Conexus Community Vitality Fund is designed to support projects and initiatives in communities across Saskatchewan where Conexus employees live and work. Local Conexus leaders are empowered to identify and choose initiatives that improve a community facility or program.

The local Cornerstone becoming the new Conexus Credit Union Manager of Financial Services Sheri Hanson reflects upon the importance of contributing to initiatives raising the quality of life locally.

“Each of these organizations is doing valuable and meaningful work for their communities every single day, and we believe in supporting them and their projects,” explains Hanson. “Our Ituna and Kelliher branch teams thank you for the vitality you bring and the difference you make in people’s lives every day!”
